49 Flydowns is officially underway with our first bird in Georgia. After putting in the time and working through some tough conditions, the hunt finally came together in a hard earned finish. It wasn’t easy, but that’s what makes the moment count. Georgia set the tone for the journey ahead, and we’re excited to keep the momentum going as the 49 Flydowns challenge continues to unfold.

Electronic or Print at Home Fulfillment: YES

Hunter Education Required: Yes, for all hunters born after Jan 1, 1961.

Bag Limit: 2 Gobblers (one per day). Public land hunters are restricted to one gobbler per season per area.

Decoys Allowed: Yes

Tagging Instructions: All hunters are required to have a Harvest Record for the current season.  Additionally, turkeys must be checked through GA Game Check within 24 hours. 

Noteworthy Restrictions: Illegal to discharge a firearm within 50 yards of a public road.  Shotguns using #2 shot or smaller (do not have to be plugged) are legal.
